About our Artist: Abdul Aziz Mohamadu reflects on his artistic journey, saying, "From a young age, I knew I wanted to pursue painting, but I was uncertain if I could turn it into a career. So, I explored various other fields." His passion for carving ignited when he spent time observing master carver Musa at his workshop. Inspired, he took a piece of wood and began crafting a mask, mirroring the techniques he had seen Musa employ. Surprised by this initiative, Musa generously offered his guidance, helping Abdul Aziz refine his newly found skill. This experience deepened his love for this art form, eventually leading him to achieve mastery in carving as well.
