Abdul Aziz Mohamadu reflects on his journey: “I always felt a strong inclination to paint, though I initially doubted I could pursue it as a career. This led me to explore other fields. One day, I spent time observing master carver Musa at his workshop. Inspired by what I saw, I picked up a log of wood and began to carve my first mask, imitating the techniques I had learned from him. Musa was taken aback by my determination and kindly offered to help me refine my skills. This experience ignited a passion within me for this art form, and ultimately, I evolved into a master carver myself!”
